My name is Katey Porter and I have been teaching at the LCC since 2009. I have two MA's, one in English Literature and Language, the other in Applied Linguistics. Both are from the UK. I lived in Scotland for many years, and that's where I got my first MA! It's very beautiful but COLD! I think Houston is very hot. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies and make cookies! I was born on October 23rd, so my birthday is really soon! I want to make a big cake for class. My favorite subject to teach is writing! Nice to meet you!

I work in advertising, I manage accounts like Nivea, Nissan, Chivas, Absolut, etc. I love it, but I decided to take a break for learning English.

ReplyDeleteI am glad to have the chance to talk about myself. I'm Dong-beom KIM. but I use English name "Edwin". I come from S.Korea. My hobbies are paly billiards and watch movies. I graduated university last year and my major is eletronic materials engineering.
I would like to say that I need more experience and a more professional knowledge on my major area and English is the base of these activities. For these reasons, I chose to study in America to improve my level of English and widen my knowledge of other countries.

Do you know "Mission Impossible 3" it is a very famous action movie. The shots for this movie was taken in Shanghai. I was a teacher in high school and then I worked at a TV Program for 1 year.
